Pattie Crawford is our senior church organist
    and PCC Secretary

Pattie says:

I was married to Jim Crawford for 42 years until he died in 1994. I have a son, daughter-in-law and two granddaughters.

I joined St Paul’s in 1978, was accepted into the choir in 1979 and in 1980 was accepted as organist. We are very fortunate that we have Phil Green who also plays the organ, plus the flute. We share the accompaniment of the hymns on a Sunday and both of us play in the music group, which also plays for services on Sunday.

I accompany the singing of hymns in the Church Hall for the Women’s Fellowship meeting on a Monday.

I am Secretary to Parochial Church Council which is, of course, the body responsible for the running of the church, a role which I much enjoy and am happy to carry on with this work as long as I am needed.

Pattie's key message

"Why not come and try us out one Sunday morning? You will be most welcome!"

What does Christ mean to Pattie?

"If I was asked – what does Christ mean to me, I would say He is someone who I can’t manage without in my life?"

Pattie's special memories of St Paul's include:

The wedding of my son, James, to Joan, whose family were long standing members of St Paul’s.

A confirmation Service in the 1980’s which was taken by Bishop David Shepherd, when the music group and a small singing group made its debut.

Christmas Carol Services, Easter Sunday Services, Harvest Thanksgiving Services and Suppers.

These are just a few of the many good times at St Paul’s
