St Paul's Church relies solely on gifts, and the regular generosity of its congregation, to cover all of its costs. Year by year, we have enough. Although it may cause our long-suffering treasurer, Amanda Turpin, the odd sleepless night, God has always given us what we need.
Of course we groan about the size of our gas bill, but we recognise that many others are worse off than us, and that God's expects us to be generous, just as he is generous to us.
So at St Paul's we rejoice regularly to give away part of our income.
Regular Donations
As a policy we give away 10% of our income to our linked missionary organisations, currently the Church Missionary Society (CMS), Tear Fund, the Church Pastoral Aid Society (CPAS), the Church Urban Fund and the King's Cross project.
Special Collections
In addition we also have special collections throughout the year, whether in response to a particular event (e.g. recently the tsumani in Japan), or at a particular time of year (e.g. Harvest).
