Gifts from Simms Cross Primary School

Children from Simms Cross have made this beautiful mosaic cross and donated it to our church. The congregation are delighted with this beautiful gift and wish to express their thanks to the children and staff of the school. It will have pride of place in our church all year round.

Inspiration

Our lay reader, Linda Foster, was inspired by the cross they gave us, and in one of her sermons she talked about how the children had taken broken pieces to make the mosaic cross. This can remind us of how Jesus can take broken pieces in our lives and turn them, into something beautiful.

Simms Cross Primary School

Simms Cross Primary School in Widnes held their annual Carol Service in St Paul’s Church on Thursday 17th December.

A lovely tradition

Simms Cross School have donated us some of their Christmas art work in previous years, and their works of art are our cherished gifts.

Re-telling the Christmas Story

We are very grateful for the way in which the children’s creativity at Christmas, helps us to re-tell the wonderful story of the gift which God gave to the world in the person of Jesus.
