We are a small (but growing) group of ladies who meet monthly on a Monday afternoon at 1.45p.m.  We enjoy a friendly time together with a short time of worship plus a speaker (for about 15 to 20 minutes.)  The speakers and subjects are very varied.  We have had quite a few from within our fellowship and a few visitors from the different charities we support.  In October, we have an extra Monday with a speaker from the Leprosy Mission. This meeting started with a sandwich lunch at 12.30.p.m.  This is an annual event and enabled us to buy Christmas cards and gifts to support their work.  Several visitors from a few different churches joined us and we enjoyed a wider fellowship.

 

If we haven’t got a speaker, we look at something e.g. Harvest or Christmas and discus how it has changed and how it should change as time goes on.  As we are quite an elderly group, this can often lead to quite a lively discussion, and reminiscing and often carries on over the tea and biscuits.

 

We enjoy one another’s company in an informal group and would very much like some more members to come and join in with us. You would be made very welcome.

 

I would also like to ask anyone to come and speak to us. You could talk about any subject that appeals to you.  We really are very friendly so please volunteer.
